A visit from our partners, H. Stepic CEE Charity

A few days ago we were happy to receive, at the Hercules Center, a visit from three wonderful people, who – together with us – write the story of the Hercules Center: Andreas Gschwenter, member of the Raiffeisen Bank International Board of Directors, private donor and Patron of the Hercules Day Center; Bogdan Popa, member of the Raiffeisen Bank Romania Board – a company that sponsors our activity both in Costesti and in Buftea; Nicoleta Manea, member of the RBI Vienna team and coordinator of our project on the partner’s side. It so happens that Nicoleta is Romanian, originally from the same area (south of Pitesti) we cater to.

Our guests found us in the middle of spring preparations: after finishing homework, our kids were busy crafting beautiful “martisoare” (spring symbols in a Romanian tradition) and 8 March cards for the significant women in their lives.

With our partners, we discussed the children’s needs and how the Center meets them, the children’s and the project’s progress. We were happy to meet our guests in a renovated Center and we invited them to have lunch at our canteen, where children have a warm meal every day.

It happens every time we receive Andreas’s visit, and any member of the H. Stepic CEE Charity team’s, really: we are left in awe of the human quality of the people we interact with. We are deeply impressed with their genuine kindness, warmth and interest in the project and their sincere desire to actually do GOOD, not just in the name of the organization and company they represent, but also in their own name, as individuals. We don’t know if there are many NGOs in Romania who can say this, but we truly love and respect our partners and every visit they pay the Hercules Center is a moment of celebration for us and a great encouragement to keep on going. Despite every obstacle.

Thank you H. Stepic CEE Charity, Andreas, Nicoleta, Bogdan; thank you Mr H. Stepic, of course! and all the good individuals behind H. Stepic CEE Charity. Danke sehr, in the name of the children and the members of the community you help us change for the better.
